Dr. Gordon Paul (1935 - 2014)
Dr. Gordon L. Paul was born on September 2, 1935 and passed away on April 15, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Joan M. Paul; children: Dennis and wife, Georgia; Dana and wife, Nora; and Joni Fredrickson and husband, Larry. Grandchildren: Alexandra, Joseph, Drew, Gordon II, Sara and Lonni and great grandson, Gyianny.
Dr. Paul was a Distinguished Professor of Psychology emeritus after 33 years at the University of Houston. He had a distinguished lifetime, changing the face of Clinical Psychology forever with his innovative treatment programs. A celebration of his life was held on April 19th at his home in pearland Texas.

Joan, I guess we met for the first time at the reunion. I'm one of the obnixious little girls that gave Gordon such a bad time during grade school. He really had to put up with us. But we did mellow out and were good friends after that time. I remember him as a sweet, gentle man. I'm sure you had a good life with him. I can share some tears along with you. I'm so glad that I had a good long visit with Gordon and you, Joan, at the informal gathering that first day. You probably can't keep us all straight. I was intrigued in reading his obituary and very impressed with his outstanding career. I was also impressed that you made the trip while dealing with oxygen tanks. It's a bittersweet time of life as the aging process takes its toll, but it sounds as if you had a rich life as a couple and as a family. God's Blessings, Norma Turner Speer
