Rosemary Higham Powers
1935 - 2021

Rosemary Diane "Rose" Powers, 85, of Grand Island passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021.
Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Service will be livestreamed via All Faiths Funeral Home Facebook Page. Private family burial of ashes will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rose was born Feb. 10, 1935, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of James and Edna Mae (Davis) Higham. She graduated from Marshalltown High School and Marshalltown Community College.
On Jan. 7, 1956, Rose married David "Dave" Powers in Marshalltown. They relocated to Grand Island, where Rose was owner/operator of her own collection agency, Professional Services Inc. She was a past executive director of the Grand Island YWCA.
A member and past president of ESA Alpha Sigma Epsilon Chapter from 1980 to the present; Rose was also a lifetime member of the Does 147.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Powers; grandchildren, Cody (Beth) Powers, Alec Powers, Brady Powers and Haley Powers; and daughter-in-law, Melinda Powers.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Powers, in 2012; son, Jim Powers; an infant daughter, Laura; and her parents.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
