Roger Stonewall died September 19, 1998. Internment was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with full military rites by the American Legion. Roger was born on October 18, 1934 in Gilman Iowa to Julius and Melena Brimso Stonewall. He graduated from MHS in 1953, and enlisted in the United States Navy where he served until 1957. He married Janice Whitmore on October 15, 1976 in Nashua. Survivors include his wife, Janice of Marshalltown; two sons, Monte and Addison; eight step-children; 19 grandchildren; six brothers, Ozzie, Manley, Terry, Jerry, Wayne, and Dale; and two sisters, Vivian Brand and Violet Sameno. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Addison.
