Hubert Levere Son died December 29, 2004. Memorial services were held January 11, 2004. He was born March 15, 1935, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Frank E, and Clara E. (Esperson) Son. He was a Security Colorado resident since 1973 having moved from San Francisco, California where he worked in the Naval Shipyard. Hubert retired from Civil Service as a machinist at Ft. Carson, Colorado in 1990. He was a member of the Good Sam Club and loved to fish and travel. He is survived by his children: Rose Marie Son, Daniel L. son and Vickie Van Winkle. Other survivors are his brother Robert (Miriam) Son; his sisters, Louise (Francis) Backoff, Clarabel Crane, Doris Martinez, Nina (Don) O’Bryon, Darlene (Dot) Gohring and Beverly (Floyd) Anselme. Other survivors are: his step-children, who loved him as their own dad; Robert Taft, Hal Taft and Shauna Taft; his former wife Donna Horton; his traveling companion, fishing buddy and common-law wife Carole Fogarty; his dear friends , John Horton, Don Adams, Bob Allgood and Mr. and Mrs. Sharfers; and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews all across the country. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
