Crandal “Carrol” Nason, 83, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Unity Point Health in Marshalltown .
Crandal “Carrol” Nason was born on December 2, 1934, on a farmstead between Laurel and Melbourne, Iowa; he was the son of Crandal John and Mabel (Capron) Nason. He graduated from Marshalltown Community School District with the Class of 1953. He attended one year of junior college in Marshalltown. Carrol honorably served in the National Guard as Communications Chief for 6 years. On April 7, 1956, Carrol was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginger” Cornelius (1953 Classmate) at the Central Christian Church in Marshalltown and they remained in Marshalltown their entire married lives. Carrol started working for Fisher Governor while still in high school and stayed for 6 years, then attended junior college for a year. He was hired at Lennox Industries and became an instructor for the service and installation of HVAC systems and retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed, antique and hot rod cars, model airplanes, anything remote controlled, computers, and any kind of electronics
