Beverly Coulter (Clemons) was an active part of the Ames community during the 1960's to mid-1970's. She was a dancing teacher. Her studio was training ground for a great many young students from Ames and surrounding areas. Her annual dance recitals were a high point for many young lives. When she left Ames she married Walter Lewis in Carpenterville, Illinois and they moved to Inverness, Florida. Walter Lewis predeceased her there. Beverly died in Inverness, Florida on August 29, 2005. She is survived by a sister, Vanita Lynn (Mrs. Larry Dennis) of Shelton, connecticut. Her brother, Clarence Coulter Jr., predeceased her. Her daughter Sharron Clemons lives in Brooklyn, N. Y.
